Me in a nutshell...

Hey,
My name is Sarah Watzke and I moved to Boise from Alaska. I am the oldest of 5 girls, and want to have a few of my own someday. I am currently engaged to my high school sweetheart, and we just celebrated our 5 year anniversary.
I am majoring in Elementary Education and I really want to teach 3rd or 4th grade. With this grade level I plan on using technology in many different ways. I will use it for my grade book, group power point projects, teaching power points, creating activities for students to do, and creating tests. I also really like the idea of a class blog to keep the parents up to date on what their child's class is doing and learning.
I really liked creating the test online. It was super easy to understand. I really liked the fact that they had a variety of types of questions to use. I think that this template format could be used for any grade level. It leaves little room for error. I would rate the test making service a 9 out of 10.
I have actually been in the process of creating a blog for my fiance and I to keep our families up to date on wedding plans. I think it is awesome how you can personalize your blog. I am currently using Blogger, and I have used it before in my English 102 class for a group project. It is really easy to use and to add followers. I think it is a good tool for the classroom to get people involved whether it be students, parents, or fellow teachers.

  1. I like the idea of using a blog for wedding details. Blogs are great for keeping in touch with people. We having a wedding website through theknot.com. I'm not sure why I didn't use a blog instead ;) I have a personal blog that I haven't updated in a while, but I really enjoyed having it when I wasn't busy. :) Good luck with wedding planning -- only about 7 months left for us, how about you?
